Great kids crafts and gifts this Independence Day
It's no secret that kids are creative because they want to explore and create things they can think of. They can express without fear or shame. We always wanted our child to express and develop their talents. This Independence Day, create ideas and help your kid create a homemade craft for the occasion.
Sometimes coming up with a fun, easy and inexpensive homemade crafts and gift ideas for kids is hard. As an adult, it is your judgment to select the most appropriate crafts and activities that is safe to your child. To help you, I have created lists of safe, fun and economical homemade crafts and gift ideas for the celebration of our Independence Day.
A Star-spangled Ride - If your kids own bikes or even a scooter, you and your child can design it to fit the occasion. Create a festive and patriotic look by cutting stars and adding that to the handle bar and safety flag poles. You may also add jingles by attaching bells on flag colored ribbon. Dangle them in the handle bars to catch attention. Ask your child to collect straws with colors of the flag then design the wheels with it.
Homemade American Flag Fan - Have a small fanfare and ask kids to design their own patriotic flags. They may use the American flag as a model. Then wave flags and fans to commemorate the freedom of the country. These steps are easy, just cut out rectangles out of paper, design according to will and combine them using a pin.
Liberty Homemade Crown - Measure your child's head circumference and use duct tape to create a beautiful crown out of flexible straws and garlands. Put a smile on your child's face by helping them create this project. Take their photo and use an image editor to create a postcard or a card.
Confetti Launcher for Independence Day - Cut out small shapes of stars and place it in a confetti launcher. Launchers are easy to make if you are good in physics. If not you may buy launchers in a nearby present store. Kids will experience the joy of seeing fireworks. This is safe, easy and definitely fun.
Battery Operated Fireworks - Since kids cannot light fireworks, you may create a safe and effective craft to replace fireworks. Why not create a battery operated fireworks sparkler device? It may sound a bit technical but this is just easy. Buy some wired garlands with star design, attached the wires to a battery. Combine at least 15 garlands together and make sure it is panning out to create a fireworks effect. Fasten the end to a big pen or stick and place a little button switch to save the battery. Now you have an instant fireworks display for your kids to play all day.
Stars and Stripes Hat - Help you child create a patriotic hat that resemble Uncle Sam's hat. Use cardboard and paper bag as the hat. Stick colored papers to create stripes of blue, red and white. Cut out small stars and glue them on the base of the hat. You'll have great looking hats and the kids will be ready for the parade.
The Independence Day Robot - Children love super heroes and who doesn't? So you may use things you normally find at your kitchen and help your child create an Independence Day robot. You only need used cans, a clear container and colorful utensils. Attach the container in the cans; make sure you use the container as the body and the cans as the head and legs. The container may be used to store cookies and the head can be used as the placeholder of colorful utensils. You child will definitely love this and he may even bring this robot everywhere.
